Sanjay, early decision applicant

I had received a lot of prestigious science awards, was very active in my extracurriculars and had taken a lot of tough AP courses, all of which looked good on the college app. However, what was looking poorly was my GPA and Standardized Test scores. I decided to seek help on my application to show that I am a talented student, but am not good with test taking. However, I wanted to prove that I although my test taking skills are not the greatest, I make up for it in everything else. I truly appreciated all of Jessica’s input. She helped me greatly with wording my essays to make it flow properly and helped me show my talents and justify my test-taking skills. I GOT INTO MY FIRST CHOICE COLLEGE! Additionally, my writing skills improved, and as I tend to be more reserved and quiet when talking about my accomplishments, Jessica helped me be more confident. She helped me word things in a way where I would show all my accomplishments but also not sound like I am bragging.

Ray, high school senior who applied to medical school and backup post-bac master degrees

My life was kind of a mess before working with Jessica. I really had no idea how to make myself the best applicant possible for medical school. I had worked on a few applications on my own, but I was getting nowhere. Jessica helped me turn that around because working together was the best decision I made in a long time. We talked through my goals, identified backup master degree programs, and worked through a timeline and schedule that Jessica set for me. She truly helped in making my application for medical school successful and pushing me to recognize my strengths. She helped me learn how to present myself in the best way possible and make myself appear confident in times when I was not. I gained the skills to interview better and really show my strengths to people reading my application or resume. Thank you Jessica and everyone at Private Applications for helping me achieve my top choice program, which seemed so impossible.

Griffin, graduate student with 100% acceptance rate.

I needed professional help. There is a way in which you want to be viewed, but that goal is hard to achieve. I didn't know what details to include in the limited space given, how to present it and how to make all the different documents work together. At first Jessica understood me and my needs. Later on she helped me figure out what sides of me to emphasize, and how to do it in an elegant and persuasive manner. She then helped me draft the different sorts of essays, edit my materials, and rephrase my could-be-better paragraphs and sentences. Eventually she helped me put all of it together so it will tell the whole story, without being repetitive and over-trying. She also helped me with the technicality of filling out the applications. Not only I was accepted to each of the universities I applied for, all of which are first tier, I also received a full tuition scholarship!

Yogi, International student, going to top choice, high ranked university with a full tuition scholarship.

I got in to every Tax LLM program that I applied to (including NYU, Georgetown, Oxford), many of which offered me all sorts of scholarships.  I want to express my gratitude for all of your help. your experience, writing skills, purposefulness and ability to understand and adjust to my needs were remarkable. I'm sure that without your help I would have never gotten the same results- and for that I am grateful. You were definitely the exact person I needed on my side.

Amanda, daughter of Karen and Sam (see below), enrolled at first choice university.

Before working with Jessica I wasn't too motivated to do my applications. I wasn't sure where to even begin with the process. Jessica guided me into the right direction and made it a much easier process for me. Jessica was very nice and understanding. She guided me through the very stressful college process and made it less stressful. I'm very happy I got to work with her. By working with Jessica I gained new knowledge about college. After working with her I even became very excited to go to college. She helped me get into the college spirit.

Karen and Sam, parents of a very happy student

We needed help to ensure we were doing the best possible job in guiding our daughter on the right path and selection process to ensure success. Jessica was extremely professional and knowledgeable in helping us and our daughter navigate a complicated and sometimes confusing school selection process. We rate her Jessica an A++ on all levels. We gained acceptance into every school we applied and some with scholarship offers. Most importantly our daughter will be attending her school of choice. Thank you Jessica...

As a parent, prior to working with Jessica, we were unclear of the expectations for applications, essays, resumes, etc. By working with Jessica, the college application process was streamlined. Jessica set milestones so it did not feel overwhelming. Jessica worked directly with my daughter so I felt like my daughter took more ownership in the process and enjoyed working with Jessica

Amalia, international student, currently studying at her first choice, Top 25 University, after being waitlisted.

I always found it really hard to express myself in writing and I knew that my college essays were the most important part in letting the university know what kind of person I am, so I sought help in order to make my application as strong as possible. I honestly loved working with Jessica. She always seemed to know how to phrase what I would struggle to express in writing and I appreciated that. I feel as though I improved my writing skills and polished my writing style through working with Jessica.

Danielle, currently studying at Top 25 public university; turned down offer from top 15 private university to enroll at university with a more lucrative scholarship offer; student intends to pursue graduate school

I really didn't know where to start with my college process, so I needed guidance. Working with Jessica was incredible. She was always there to help me and listen to me when I needed her. Without her, I would have not been accepted to the colleges I wanted to be accepted to. I got accepted to superb universities, and I learned how to put together essays in a more coherent manner. She also taught me how to be more on top of my "to do list" and not procrastinate like I always used to do.

Ali, PhD student

I've been working with Jessica for almost a year. Before I started working with her on my PhD admission, my life was very horrible, I was completely distracted and I was very worried about being admitted to a big doctoral program. However, after working with Jessica, my life got better, and I became very confident that I could achieve my goals. I'm extremely lucky to have had the chance to work with Jessica. There are many reasons behind choosing Jessica as a PhD consultant:

First, as an International student from Jordan, my English is not professional enough to understand the process of any PhD application. Working with Jessica helped me to fill all applications easily without any problems. Second, I had to construct a list of universities that fit my qualifications. Jessica helped me a lot to construct a very nice list of American universities that were completely good for me. Third, Jessica helped me write a very exceptional personal statement. I was interviewed at several big American universities, and three Professors at three different schools told me that I have a very professional personal essay. Finally, as a part of any PhD application, I had to get at least two recommendation letters. It was very smart idea from Jessica to add American professors to my list of recommendations. She suggested I contact some Professors at California State University to start researching and working with them because I could then ask for letters. When I was interviewed, I was told that the main two reasons for interviewing me, besides my GMAT score, were my very good recommendation letters and having a very professional personal statement.

All in all, Jessica was amazing to work with. She was beyond helpful, understanding, full of great ideas, and helped to make my writing come to life. I would recommend Jessica to all of my friends who need help applying to schools and forming their resumes. She's helped me get in the PhD program with full scholarship! I truly thank her with all my heart.

Catherine, accepted to all four schools that she applied to; currently studying International Relations and accepted $20,000 scholarship to 1-year Masters program

When I decided that I wanted to attend grad school, I had no idea where to start. I knew I had to take the GRE but I wasn't sure what they were looking for, or how I should go about writing my personal statements. Honestly, the whole grad school process was a bit elusive to me. While working with Jessica, all of my questions were answered regarding what they were looking for, how I needed to present myself, and that no school is a safety school. I felt extremely well prepared when I finally submitted my personal statements and applications, and confident that I had completed them to the best of my ability. The best thing that happened to me is that I got into BU, my first choice school! Other than that, I learned how to cut down my writing to be more concise. Also, my resume now includes all of my experience and better describes my abilities.

As you already know, thanks to you - I am attending college in Maryland .  I like it here and I am enjoying.  Class will be a little hard at the beginning because I am not used to writing a lot in English.  I just wanted to say thank you for all your help, being there for me whenever I needed, answering all my questions,  and doing things that I guess I was supposed to do.  I wish you all good luck and success.

Megan, currently studying at Top 50 university; first choice school

For many high school students, the college application process is known to be stressful, intimidating, nerve-wracking and often torturous. Luckily, I had a completely difference experience. Working with Private Applications did not just help me create an impressive resume, but gave me the confidence to truly explore my full potential and step outside of my comfort zone when applying to universities and planning my future. Jessica and I communicated via Skype and email, and I knew from our first conversation that I was going to end up exactly where I should be. Jessica's unparalleled knowledge, caring and professional disposition and constant reliability made my college application process both a pleasure and a great success.
